About the Conference

The 1st International Conference on Advanced Materials Manufacturing and Structures ICAMMS-24 focuses on the intersection of key areas: materials, manufacturing, and structures. This conference aims to bring together experts, researchers, scientists, engineers, and professionals from various fields to discuss, share, and exchange the challenges, significant findings, and advances related to the innovative combination of advanced materials, manufacturing techniques, and structures. This conference provides a platform for researchers and professionals to engage in discussions, presentations, workshops, and exhibits that revolve around the fusion of manufacturing techniques and bio-inspired design principles for next-generation applications. This conference also catalyzes the development of cutting-edge technologies with far-reaching implications. ICAMMS-24 aims to bring together researchers and scientists from G20, ASEAN, and SAARC nations to India for scientific, research, and academic collaborations. In addition, this conference will serve as a flagship event to elevate and promote Sustainable Development and Make in India policy targeting defense, automotive, aerospace, electronics, nuclear, healthcare, and other relevant applications.

Conference Theme:
Bio-inspired Materials and Structures for Sustainable Future

The proposed theme underscores the idea of harnessing the remarkable designs found in nature and integrating them into the field of additive manufacturing. Bioinspired materials and structures draw inspiration from nature's designs and processes. This concept involves observing how living organisms have evolved solutions to various challenges over millions of years and applying these principles to design innovative materials and structures with multifunctional properties. This theme reflects the understanding that nature has often provided elegant and efficient solutions to engineering and materials challenges. By studying and emulating these solutions, researchers can develop novel materials and structures that offer improved safety, reliability, performance, durability, sustainability, and functionality. Examples of bioinspired materials include lightweight composite structures modeled after honeycombs & bone structures, self-healing materials inspired by skin regeneration in reptiles, and adaptive sensors & materials inspired by plants' ability to respond to external stimuli. Similar observations from nature could lead to groundbreaking innovations for next-generation applications.
